Project Details

Positioned in the heart of the Harley Street Medical Area, 27-29 Harley Street comprises two buildings that have undergone extensive redevelopment. Working alongside Howard De Walden Estates, Sonnemann Toon Architects designed the scheme to deliver a single, self-contained healthcare building combining both traditional consulting rooms and new grade A medical accommodation.

Grade II listed 29 Harley Street was sympathetically refurbished with many features retained and upgraded for reuse and offers primarily traditional Harley Street style consulting rooms, whilst 27 Harley Street was redeveloped behind the retained facade to accommodate a cutting-edge medical facility with full diagnostics suites and theatres.

Much like previous projects on Harley Street 3v were given two separate briefs. Number 29 needed updating while being sympathetic to its grade II status and number 27 required a practical and easily maintained product throughout the new medical facility.

Products supplied included traditional knob furniture from Frank Allart in a bronze brass finish for the traditional areas and Vieler satin stainless-steel furniture for the medical areas. All the accessories were carefully chosen in matching or sympathetic finishes.

Alongside this a full fire door survey was carried out and all doors were upgraded to meet current fire safety regulations.
