Project Details
Originally built in the 1930s 8-10 Lower James Street boasted many period features including a fantastic staircase, original features to the façade and wonderfully tall ceilings. 3v worked very closely with Hale Brown to develop a full ironmongery specification to meet their exacting needs and design intent.
The scheme must have been a real challenge from start to finish. Situated in the heart of London and on top of a major a refurb fit-out Hale Brown added an extension to include an additional floor. Once the project had been sympathetically restored to its former glory, the eye for detail was evident everywhere not least the extension which could have easily been mistaken as part of the original building.
To meet Hale Brown’s design intent and high specification for the project 3v were asked to refinish some ironmongery in a special dark bronze finish so it was in keeping with original and new features within the building. The ironmongery chosen for the project came from our Vieler range and included the 112 Lever Handle and complimentary 233 pull handle which once paired with the dark bronze finished offered that aged look whilst still being contemporary.
3v worked very closely with Collins Construction and built a good working relationship whilst on this project, due to the nature of the finish 3v made sure could meet Collins’ delivery dates.
